The PEMA standard

Not just a ride.Care that travels with you.

PEMA exists for the moments when getting there is only half the job — when a rider needs a calm cabin, a steady hand, and a handoff someone can trust.

01

At the door

We meet riders where they are — at home, with patience, and with the support they need to board calmly.

02

On the ride

Monitors stay with riders who need them. The cabin stays quiet, clear, and focused on a safe arrival.

Through the door

We do not leave anyone at the curb. Escorted handoffs into appointments and day programs complete the trip.

Pickup at the door. Walk-in at drop-off.

Monitors when needed

1-on-1 support for riders who need monitoring.

Car seats on board

Prepared when the assigned trip requires a seat.

No curb-side scramble. When a rider needs a car seat, PEMA brings it with the trip — installed, checked, and waiting when we arrive. Say the word when you book.

What we do

Domain-focused rides for appointments and day programs.

PEMA is a contracted MART vendor serving Worcester County.

Why families choose PEMA

Medical appointments are not optional. When transportation fails, treatment waits. PEMA removes that friction — with care in the cabin and clarity at every handoff.

Who is behind the wheel

Trained for the road. Cleared for the ride.

Every driver meets both standards before they are assigned to a rider.

State safety driving trained

Every PEMA driver completes state safety driving training before they are assigned to medical or day-program trips.

Thorough background checks

Screening is completed before a driver meets a rider — trust starts before the first pickup window.

Cleared for the care ride

Training and screening are the baseline for every escorted appointment and day-program route.

How it works

From MART approval to escorted drop-off.

New MassHealth trips are scheduled through MART. PEMA completes the assigned rides with care.

01

Approved through MART

New MassHealth (PT-1) and other HST trips are scheduled through MART member services after approval — not as open public bookings on this site.

02

PEMA is assigned

When MART assigns the trip to PEMA, we confirm the schedule, vehicle, and any monitor or car-seat requirements.

03

Door pickup with care

Your driver — and a dedicated monitor when assigned — arrives on time at the door.

04

Escorted drop-off

Riders are walked into the appointment or day program, then returns are coordinated when ready.

PEMA focuses on contracted MassHealth and Human Service Transportation work as a MART vendor. We complete broker-assigned trips to medical appointments and day programs. We do not advertise open public rides on the same vehicles used for those contracted services.
