The Driver provides safe, reliable, and respectful transportation for assigned Members. The role is responsible for vehicle readiness, route execution, Member safety, accurate documentation, and prompt communication with Dispatch.

Essential Responsibilities • Operate the assigned vehicle safely and defensively while following approved routes, schedules, pickup and drop-off instructions, and applicable traffic laws. • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report vehicle defects, damage, cleanliness concerns, missing equipment, or maintenance needs. • Verify Member identity and authorized handoffs; ensure approved restraints and mobility devices are used correctly; and provide trained boarding or exiting assistance. • Maintain timely contact with Dispatch regarding check-in, delays, no-shows, route changes, Member concerns, accidents, or unsafe conditions. • Protect confidential information and complete trip, mileage, attendance, inspection, signature, and incident records accurately and on time. • Follow emergency, accident, illness, severe-weather, and evacuation procedures, including obtaining help and notifying Dispatch as soon as safely possible.

Minimum Qualifications • Valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle and an acceptable driving record under Company, insurer, and contract standards. • Successful completion of required screening, credential verification, medical or fitness requirements, and safety, passenger-assistance, first-aid/CPR, and defensive-driving training. • Ability to use navigation and communication tools, follow written route instructions, maintain accurate records, and report reliably and on time.
