Ride Monitor

The Monitor supports safe transportation by supervising Members during the trip, assisting with boarding and exiting, observing Member needs, and helping the Driver maintain a calm and secure vehicle environment.
Essential Responsibilities • Report to the assigned route on time, review the manifest and passenger instructions, and remain attentive throughout the trip. • Assist with safe boarding, seating, and exiting as trained; verify proper use of restraints and mobility supports; and confirm authorized passenger handoffs. • Continuously supervise passengers, use only approved behavior-support techniques, and avoid unnecessary activity that distracts the Driver. • Promptly communicate no-shows, illness, injury, unusual behavior, caregiver or site concerns, route delays, and other service issues. • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, including restrictions on photographs, recordings, personal contact, and social-media activity. • Follow emergency and evacuation procedures, provide assistance within training, and complete required incident or passenger records before the end of the shift.
Minimum Qualifications • Successful completion of required background screening, credentialing, and contract-specific eligibility requirements. • Completion and maintenance of required passenger-safety, first-aid/CPR, emergency-response, confidentiality, and behavior-support training. • Ability to remain calm and attentive, communicate professionally, use basic communication tools, and maintain reliable attendance and accurate records.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is primarily performed in a moving vehicle and may involve noise, traffic, changing weather, variable schedules, and close interaction with passengers. The Monitor may assist Members and participate in emergency evacuation within training, with or without reasonable accommodation.
